Three Saito College Students Shine at Design Graduation Showcase

KUALA LUMPUR – October 7th, 2013 – This year's design showcase by the graduating class of 2013 featured three winners taking home the top honours in three categories.

The design showcase, titled "Inspired 2013: Experience and Explore", pitched as the grand finale to the two and half years of theoretical and practical learning, saw the graduating class of 72 students displaying their best work judged by industry experts.

Gan Kah Xin, the rose among two thorns, won the top prize in the Graphic Design and Creative Advertising category, while Lee Kien Pin and Keeon Leong were judged the best in the Multimedia Design and Interior Design categories respectively.

"This year's entries were exceptional as they were characterised by one unifying theme: individual strength and style," said Peter Pan, Programme Director of Saito School of Design. "We set very high standards for our students, and they have consistently exceeded our expectations as attested by the work displayed at this showcase."

The "Inspired" showcase, now in its second year, is a collection of works inspired by powerful form, space, order, colour, imageries, and typography with the freedom of exploration. For this year's showcase, each graduating student was given five minutes to present their exhibits.
